The largest river in China and the third longest river in the world, next to the Nile in Africa and the Amazon in South America. Rising in Tanggula Mountain, the Yangtze River flows eastwards and pours itself into the East China Sea. Measuring about 6,380 km (3,964 miles), it mainly runs across Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, Sichuan, Yunnan, Chongqing, Hubei, Hunan, Jiangxi, Anhui, Jiangsu and Shanghai from west to east. The Yangtze Three Gorges starts from Fengjie of Chongqing and ends in Yichang, extending 193KM.With highly reputation of natural beauties and historical remains and cultural heritages, it won the second position to none in China's natural Beauty Spots Competition in 1991. Hiking the Yangtze Three Gorges is one of the top tours in China. Walking through this route, you can see the colored clouds over the mountain peaks along the Yangtze Gorges, fleets of modern and man-powered boats sailing are just under your feet. Lush growing broad beam, wheat and potato plants of green color in the fields and the hillsides provide you strong sense of nature, while pink peach flowers and yellow rapeseed flower make the villages look like natural gardens.

With the completion of the third phase of the Three Gorges Project, the Yangtze Gorges "pool" level of newly–formed reservoir reaches 175 meters above sea level. Some Ancient Plank Roads are regretfully under water. And the boatmen's song has also become memory. However, after hard strudge, we found some part of the remaining ancient plank roads and connect parts by lanes and motor boats, we have made it possible to hike the New Yangtze Three Gorges again. You may come to join us to explore the charming beauty of the Yangtze Gorges scenery and the flowery hillsides. | Day 01 (D) Arrive Chongqing. Our guide meet at airport and transfer to city for sightseeing tour to Erlin Mt. Park, Three Gorges Museum and Panda in Chongqing Zoo if time permits. After dinner, check in at hotel. |
| Day 02 (B, L, D) Transfer to Wanzhou Pier by bus (170 miles in 3.5 hours), then take motorboat to Fengjie (2 hours). Upon arrival, check in hotel. Take a warm-up hiking tour (3.5 miles in 3 hours) along the river at Qutang Gorge in afternoon. You will visit Bai Di Cheng (also known as White Emperor City), which is the entrance of the Yangtze Three Gorges and very dramatic and poetic scenic spot of the Yangtze River. Overnight at hotel in Fengjie. |
| Day 03 (B, L, D) Transfer to pier and board the motor boat sailing through 6 mile-long Yangtze Qutang Gorge. Before and during the hiking trip (8 miles in 5 hours) , you will enjoy the beautiful landscape and scenery of Chinese countryside, also you will see the farmers working on their vegetable fields, rice paddy and orchards. Overnight at hotel in Wushan. |
| Day 04 (B, L, D) Transfer to pier for 45-minute boat ride from Wushan to Qinshi, which is in the middle section of the poetic and picturesque Wushan Gorge. Lots of poets, men of letters and photographers come to Qinshi for its beauty of nature. For today’s hiking tour (8 miles in 6 hours), you will climb the Mountain Qing Shi Ya (about 3300 feet above the sea level) to enjoy a panoramic views of the 12 famous mountain peaks along the way. After trip, take motor boat at the foot of the mountain for return to Wushan Town (2 hours ride). Overnight at hotel in Wushan. |
| Day 05 (B, L, D) Take motor boat sailing through the Wushan Gorge, then change to a local ferry for 30-munite trip to Huoyanshi, where you start today’s hiking tour to Badong Town ( 6 miles in 4 hours ). The trail will lead you to turn and twist through farming fields and orchards. During the hiking, you will enjoy the view and sense from the steep cliff thousand feet above the river level while watching cargo boats and cruise ships sailing just under your feet. After hiking tour, return to Badong pier and take boat to the Yangtze Three Gorges Dam (3 hours ride). Overnight at hotel. |
| Day 06 (B, L) Morning tour to visit the Yangtze Three Gorges Dam - the largest hydroelectric dam in the world. After lunch, transfer to airport for your next destination city. End tour. |
